My Neck is JACKED!

Anyone know any doctors that specialize in necks? Mine is way beyond jacked. I need an MRI & am way willing to be in medical testing. The pain is continual & is continually interrupting my life. It's way beyond pain tolerance w/ drugs. There's something definitely wrong.

review of Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (7 1/2 out of 10)

Finally rented it last nite. I was pretty glad I was able to see it in the comfort of my home, because the subject matter was so difficult to digest and so well acted, there was no way not to be personally affected.
I watched it with an 8 year old, who kind of understood the emotional tie-ins, but, didn't understand the gravity of the film. There was definitely a Q & A after. Which, I believe is the writers intent. Definitely rare qualities in this one.
The acting: excellent. I made the mistake of watching Larry Crowne, because I'm a Tom Hanks fan- and I have to say: he redeemed himself on this one. Thomas Horn has body language and ticks and emotional skills way beyond his age. Sandra Bullock as the haggard single mom... whoa. They roughed her up for this. Max Von Sydow delivered without saying a word. This movie is very moving & I was choked up for most of it.  Better to watch with a loved one, and not worry about holding back. It's a ride- and a great reminder of the travesty that hit America on 9/11.

my review of Season of the Witch ** (2 out of 5)

I have to say I liked this movie :-)
I think that this is the kind of part Nicholas Cage is well suited for: Sci Fi good vs. evil.
It looked like a SyFy channel tv movie as far as production, though. The CGI towards the end were cheesy. The sets were good though..
Nic makes a good action actor.
I think there were a lot of small minded band wagoneers who reviewed this flick. Was it worth theater admission? Nope. But it's worth a rental.

My review of 2012

Well, I finally watched it & I liked it. I liked it more for the cinematic experience & it's 'family first' underlying theme. Throughout the movie I squeezed my fiance's hand cuz I wanted her to know I would do it for her too :) It wasn't over the top gratuitous gory violent, which it could of been. The artists renditions if the physical destruction with the FX were very well done. Even though the story was kinda' comic bookish w/ the main character narrowly escaping a harrowing death by only a second's reaction, the FX carried the suspense.

review of Men In Black III

I'm giving Men in Black a 2 and a half due to the fact that it was so predictable and similar to the first 2 movies.
Familiarity is important for most entertainment media however similarity breeds boredom.  They also lost the comedic edge the first 2 movies had. The first 2 movies had some surprises in the scenes and imaginative characters wherein this one didn't really shock you or surprise you in any of the sets or the designs of any aliens.

There was an unexpected thing that happened also. This movie was obviously shot in 3d. Which meant that some of the scenes were blurry as they were changed into 2d. It was also painstakingly obvious that it was shot in high def and digital because you could see the makeup lines and the dye job on Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones. Was it good clean fun ? Yup. They channeled the autistic guy from Fringe too hard w/ the time traveler though & his wardrobe was over done.....

review of Suing The Devil

"    This was ridiculous. Poorly done. Bad edit points. Editing synch was off with vocal track in points. Bad monologue. Bad dialogues with loose development. Poor acting sans Mr. McDowell. Everyone needs coaching.
The plot blew around like a sail with holes. It was uncomfortable to watch. It should of had Justin Timberlake- that would of been better. They had a carpet python on the carpet... prop of the Devil's? No point there- overly done with exaggerated, unrealistic courtroom audience reaction.
They had a scene twice shot to create two different scenes from two different angles with different dialogue. The story took a trip into la la land when the main character had a telepathic moment with Satan & a youth group as angels & demons. They even went to "YOU WANT THE TRUTH, YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH" on the stand.

Ugh. They should pay people to watch it & let Mystery Science Theater 3000 roast it. CineFamily in NoHo should definitely roast it.

As a Christian, I'm embarrassed to say that I side with the production and poorly written script of this movie, solely on being a Bible believer. The delivery was broken and slipped from a logical courtroom litigation to a dissertation on some biblical premises. ! Thes. 4:11-12 was never considered in the making of this film- 'earning the respect of unbelievers with the works of your hand' (i.e. the production of the film), and it lost the respect of a believer as well."

Consumer's Original Complaint :
I purchased a Motorola Triumph cell for #299.99 plus an accompanying bluetooth (according to their web site's specs) for a total of $378.56.
It was all sorts of defective. After spending a grueling 3 1/2 hours on the fone w/the service providers tech. support, then w/the retail store (Radio Shack), an exchange was made. An exchange for the phone and an exchange for a 'better' bluetooth, (that also met Motorola's specs) w/an additional cost of 32.65. A test was made on the bluetooth- to find it didn't work w/the phone, so, there was an exchange for a 'better' one (again to Motorola's specs.). After an hour a disappointed purchase was made, as the two didn't marry well.
Then a day later, it was found that the phone was defective w/other issues. This time a call was made and a complaint on Motorola's website. Taking a few hours of my day then for another exchange @ the store again- this time w/two different phones to find the same problems (after the manager from Radio Shack had driven to another store to pick one up). Then again home to go through an excruciating 4 hours of gut-wrenching, terrible customer service w/Motorola- to no ends to the problems. Finally after some googling - I found a corporate series of numbers and made more calls- before reaching their 'customer resolution' department to vent, and ask for a solution.

This of course, is a simplification of the matter.

After talking to their CR rep @ 847-523-1351 (Joan) (after finally getting through to their technical dept- where they noticed the bluetooth specs listed on the site was wrong). I went over the key issues w/her:

* Defective WiFi & Data connection problems w/the 1st unit.
* Disconnection problems and weak signal w/the bluetooth connections w/3(!) units
* Lack of instructions and low quality interaction w/the predictive text options (no info on "TouchPal" as possible solution)
* Lack of overall technical info/ instructions in manual
* Lack of phone access during call/ hung-ups during calls
* Camera defection (green glow apparent on all flash-less photos) (HUGE PROBLEM- exchanged 5! units to try to find one that was NOT defective)
* bad connection on headset port
* lack of accessories
* EXTREMELY LOW mic volume (on both video and calls)

This conversation (after HOW MANY HOURS??!!!) seemed to have solved the problem- w/them Fed-Ex'ing me a new one factory direct (that had supposedly been tested for the defects.) I received the package on 2/21/2012 and immediately opened it and began the transfer. BUT:
* my carrier (VIrgin Mobile) did not have the registration from Motorola on file- so, I could not transfer the service (after an hour of transferring files and set-up). THEN-
* the unit was defective (w/the green glow on photos again).

This began on 1/17/12 when the initial purchase was made @ a Radio Shack retail store.
The model is called "The Triumph".
I've wasted over 10 hours in phone-time and travel time, and have spent over $400 in the problem, not to mention gas.
I have all the original receipts as well as the trouble ticket #s w/Motorola and Virgin mobile. I made another purchase of $300 for a bluetooth-style camera to use w/this phone, which I have to return today because of the dysfunctional bluetooth operations.

This problem is particularly hard since the operating system on the phone unit is the best on the market and most of it's operations are top-notch. This is also the 'best unit' available w/my carrier and as I am self-employed and an artist- it's options are invaluable to me. For me, it's imperative that this works.

My hopes is that Motorola can recall it and offer one w/the problems solved ASAP.

For me- the frustration has been just in trying to find a unit where it's physical options work. Firmware and accessory options I can compromise on- but, if it advertises the option of one of the highest quality cameras on the market- I expect it to work. I would hate for anyone to go through what I have.

Consumer's Desired Resolution:
I am hoping for either a unit that meets it's specifications or a different unit w/the same and better specifications.I am also hoping for a bluetooth that works correctly for the unit.A financial consideration would be appreciated for the HUGE amount of time I've spent on the phone, on the web-site, with intolerable Motorola customer service agents (and Virgin Mobile's troubleshooting the problems) and in the stores purchasing/ exchanging the units, not to mention travel time.I'm at a loss in all of those, all from a unit that was supposed to work, and one I've sought after and spent so much on. I've spent the highest amount anyone can spend on any mobile phone on the market.
